Summer recess for Congress is approaching fast. Just a heads up that things are going to be pushed through even faster over the next three or so weeks.

Since Donald Trump took office for a second time, masked federal agents are wreaking havoc and making arrests of immigrants and even some U.S. citizens. Two lawmakers in Congress say they have a plan to stop the “secret” policing that has become a feature of this administration.

Reps. Dan Goldman and Adriano Espaillat, both Democrats of New York, introduced the “No Secret Police Act of 2025” on Thursday. If passed, the legislation would forbid law enforcement officers and agents for the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement from hiding their faces or concealing their identity when

This administration cares NOTHING for regular Americans. What kind of sick people (no pun intended) would eliminate these programs. To maga, many of these will directly affect you. Cutting off your nose to spite your face only hurts yourself.

We are the UNITED States of America. Let us fight those who wish to harm us for the sole purpose of enriching themselves and stop fighting culture wars between us.

At the end of the day we all want the same thing. To be happy and prosperous. For those we care for to be happy and prosperous. To attempt to enjoy this rotten life.

What is government for if not to help the people? It is not simply an apparatus to oppress the working class and line the pockets of billionaires and corporations.

It is not immigrants that keep us down, it is not gay people or trans people, it is not Muslims or Jewish people or atheists who keep us stuck.

It is an entitled billionaire class and soulless corporations, hoarding as much capital as they possibly can, not paying a living wage, destroying the environment, economy and society with their greed.

UPDATE ON THE TAKEDOWN ACT 4/7/2025

I have been informed that the House is going to have a committee hearing (energy and commerce committee) on the Take It Down Act. This is a bill that Trump has pushed hard to get passed so that he can abuse it and use it to take down social media posts criticizing him. Its another mass censorship tool disguised as "protecting kids".

Fight for the Future has provided both an explanation for why this bill is extremely dangerous, as well as a call script and direct link to your lawmakers! They couldnt make it easier. Its here:

Vote NO on the SAVE Act!

I am writing to express my strong opposition to H.R. 22, the so-called “Safeguard American Voter Eligibility” (SAVE) Act. While this bill is framed as a measure to combat voter fraud, it is, in reality, a voter suppression effort that creates unnecessary barriers to voting and disenfranchises millions of Americans.

The SAVE Act would require voters to present narrow forms of “documentary proof of citizenship,” such as a passport or birth certificate, to participate in federal elections. This would disproportionately harm:

- Up to 150 million Americans who do not have a passport.

- Approximately 69 million women citizens who do not have a birth certificate with their current legal name on it.

- Elderly Americans, who are the least likely to hold passports.

Additionally, in 7 states, less than one-third of citizens have a valid passport – Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and West Virginia.

The SAVE Act is a solution in search of a problem. Worse, it would erode the fundamental right to vote, silencing the voices of vulnerable communities under the guise of election security. Rather than advancing harmful legislation like the SAVE Act, Congress should focus on protecting and expanding voting rights by supporting measures such as the Freedom to Vote Act and the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.

One of the foundational values of our democracy is the idea that every person is entitled to a vote – a say in the direction of our nation. I urge you and your colleagues to work towards that founding ideal. Thanks.
